  • Why Zakynthos?

A large, beautiful island in Ionian Sea, "drowned" in the cool vegetation that characterizes the wonderful Ionian Islands, is at the same time one of the most easily accessible island destinations of our country.

Zakynthos is less than an hour away by boat from the port of Kyllini, which is 285 km from Athens. However, once you set foot in the elegant town, imbued with a European cosmopolitanism, once you swim in the crystal green and blue waters that touch the beach of Navagio, as well as the quieter and more family-friendly beaches of Tsilivi or Gerakas, once you walk on the green hills and gaze at the view from above, you will feel that you have escaped to a very distant place, which at the same time is an excellent choice even if what you want is a short, short-day getaway.

A dive at the famous Navagio, the island's iconic beach that is only accessible by boat from Agios Nikolaos, has been the ardent desire of seclusion lovers everywhere, but over the years this eerily charming place has evolved into one of the most photographed spots in all of island Greece.

On the other hand, Zakynthos has countless more beaches that are extremely easy to reach even if you live in the country. The quiet and beautiful Tsilivi is an ideal destination for families with small children, since you will find everything there: organized rooms to let, restaurants with very good cuisine, cafes, umbrellas and equipment for rent. A little further south, the beaches of Banana, Vassilikos and Keri are among the most popular for visitors and locals alike.
